More Visiting!
Hi! On Friday Amelie, Grandmother & I went and visited Madeline and Charlotte Lily. What a lovely baby! and so much hair!! She gets it blow dried at night time!! Madeline looks well and she is enjoying motherhood!
Today Joey and I went to a baby market. So many bargains to be had. There is no reason to buy brand new baby stuff when so many people are trying to get rid of it! We had lots of fun and bought some books and swimmers and toys! Everyone was commenting on how happy Amelie is! She just loves going out!!

When Rochelle is away.
Look!! She got teeth!! No, she is not mutant.
Yes, she is a real Queenslander.
Wow, She looks like she had a bad day. Amelie, I can see you're angry. calm down.
Can you introduce me? Um. Is she ok??Hi everyone! This is Yuki. I know everyone believes Amelie is quiet, clever, and a good girl. Yes. That's very true. But, sometimes when I spend time with her, I see the real Amelie. yeah, yeah, she has Yuki's genetics. yes. exactly "release your sillyness and come to the funny side."
P.S. people, I'm just being silly. Half photo was taken by Roch!! trust me! I'm not the only silly one!!
Some good pics!

Not much else is different from last week but we took some lovely photos of the babe!
Oh! One event of the week was Yuki and I celebrated our 1 year marriage anniversary! What a big year it has been!!!
In the 1st photo, Amelie is holding onto Ruby Red Shoes - a very cool rabbit.
The middle photo is Amelie grinning in the sheepskin rug in the lounge. The last photo is Amelie in her sleeping bag - we call it the cocoon!

Been very busy! Saturday we planned to go too the Samford show but it was cold and miserable so we headed straight for mum and dads. We took Joey with us and it was lovely to have a weekend away!
Visited Penny and the Appleby's on the way home! It was great to see them all again and Penny sounds like she's enjoying her new job enormously!!
Yesterday was Amelie and I's first day of Uni - Oh! Shes so intelligent! Mum came with us to UQ. I had my first lecture - and it looks like its going to be a really interesting subject! Rhetoric!
Mum will look after Amelie on Mondays for me while I finish the last subject of my Arts degree. We had pizza and caught up with a few people and twas a lovely day out!
Today I intend to clean the place up a bit! Have been too busy socialising and the house is a bit neglected! Thats the plan anyway, not sure how long it will last!
Oh! and exciting news! Erika had a little (6.2 pound!) baby girl on Friday night! Mother and baby are doing well from all accounts! Cant wait to see little Talita!!
These pics are Amelie after a bath in the cute towel from Baba in Japan! and Joey, Mum and I checking if Amelie has any teeth while she was asleep in the Genki house sling!

catch up!

Woah! I'm behind with my posts! On Saturday after visiting Yoshi we went to Mum and Dads mountain retreat. The grandparents were of course very happy to see the granddaughter. Some lovely pics. look at those eyes!
Yuki, Amelie and I then went shopping and we finally bought a decent rice cooker! yay!! Monday Yuki went to TAFE and I stayed at home and pretended to be a good housewife. Today I went out with Erika to Carindale. Very brave woman! She's 3 days overdue and still keen to shop! But I'm glad she took me with her. Not much more really. Amelie is asleep at the moment. She didn't have a midday nap so I fed her to sleep, or she'll get over tired!!

Bushwalking

This morning Yuki, Baby and I went for a walk in the bush in front of our home. It rained half way through so we had to come back. Amelie loves going out in the baby carrier! Right now she is swinging in the chair while Yuki researches the birds that we saw this morning on our walk.
Once we get ready we're going to visit Yuki's workmate Yoshinori. Then we'll go up the mountain to see Ma and Pa - and Busta!
Friday

On Friday I hung out with Joey all day. Finally I have a photo of her for you all to see! She is 5 months pregnant and her belly is starting to stick out and she is beginning to feel the baby moving!! So exciting!
She lent Amelie her swing chair that she got for her bubba. But since her baby isnt even born, she thought Amelie could use the chair in the mean time. Amelie was in it yesterday morning and fell asleep.
At about midday Joey and I went to visit her cousin who lives in the house at the back of ours. She has a 3 month old little boy who has the bluest eyes ever! So it really is baby central here on Tranters Ave! The baby's mother Anita is very nice. She is half Swedish and so she is teaching her baby to speak Swedish! Wow!

Social Gatherings

Yesterday Amelie and I went and met Sandra and Sarah at Carindale! We had a lot of fun talking and talking about everything! It was so good they could come and meet us!
Then Amelie and I rushed off to South bank to pick up Dad after his first day of TAFE. Sounds like it is going well so far!
Today (Thursday) I had my gym class - movers and shapers! We exercised ourselves silly while the babies sat (or lay as the case may be) down and watched us! Ines and Romy were there too! Then after class I went and saw Alex and Mei Watanabe. Alex's husband Yoshinori works at the same Japanese company with Yuki. Their baby Mei is about 13 months old and is so clever and cute! It is amazing the amount of things she knows and picks up on!
We've just had dinner and Yuki has put Amelie to bed for a nap...

We went to Erika's house!

Yesterday Amelie and I went to visit Erika. She looks so good and seems very confident & positive about the upcoming event. We saw Adam too who tried really hard to make Amelie smile but she was tired and didn't really want to be happy. The sunset witching hour had begun. But it was great to see them both and I can't wait to see the new addition to their family when it arrives!
Also, Uncle Ben came to visit! Had a play with baby and stayed the night. Here's a photo of Ben and Amelie and Adam & Erika.
Today we're going to Carindale to meet Sandra and Sarah. They havent't met Amelie yet. She's wearing the lovely suit that Sarah gave her. What a spoilt baby! I'll post pics either this afternoon or tomorrow.

All is fine!

Yuki, Amelie and I went to the doctors yesterday and Amelie is fine. She had a cold in her nose and so couldnt breathe so well at night - hence the non-stop crying. But she slept really well last night and Yuki and I are feeling human again. She really is such a good baby.
I dropped Yuki at work today because I'm going to see Erika. She is very pregnant - due Saturday and I really wanted to see her before the baby is born. Plus I know what it is like to be at home pregnant with not much to do but wait.
Amelie is sleeping at the moment. She's a darling!
This is Amelie sitting up on her own. She can't hold it for very long but she is pretty proud of herself!

Picnic by the river

Wow! what a busy weekend! On Saturday Joey babysat Amelie and Yuki and I went to the movies!! Yay! We saw Pirates of the Carribean. It was great but we both didn't understand what happened. Oh well, we had fun!
Sunday, Alena and I had a picnic by the river at West End. It was lovely and we could catch up heaps before she is taken away to Sydney. Here's a pic of Amelie and Alena. She says I'm her oldest and youngest friend! We've known each other since we were 8. So she's pretty much family.
Amelie has been waking up so much in the night we're worried something is wrong with her, so we're taking her to the nurse today - just to check. Mum thinks it is either teething or wind - and i think she's right.

Today we are off to Centrelink!! Yay! Just discovered I've been making some big mistakes and they owe us money! So I'm going to get it all sorted out. But the stupid place has no toilets and you usually wait for over an hour - which is lots of fun with a baby. Imagine with a toddler who is being toilet trained. Its so stupid! Anyhow, the baby is asleep now and after her next feed we'll go!
If I still have energy afterwards I'll go and visit Melissa who has 3 lovely children. The youngest is 9 months and he's crawling about everywhere. Its always nice to go and see them all.
The photo is Amelie having a look at Busta. Busta is jealous and pretending not to notice...

Tuesday

I have modified the comments so now anyone can comment. Thanks for signing up to do so Meghan!
Not much happening today. I'm at home because Yuki has the car. We might go for a walk later. Keen to get some exercise. Amelie was asleep but has since woken and is just chilling in her cot.
I'll update later.
Here's Yuki with Amelie on the weekend when we went up to Mum and Dad's house. Do they look alike?

Out & About

Lately we've discovered that Amelie likes going out and having a good look around. We have a great Baby Bjorn that was given to us by a lovely lady named Kim who has since moved to Mozambique.
Yesterday we went to the pregnancy, baby and kids expo with Joey our next door neighbour who is 5 months pregnant. There wasn't much to see but Amelie enjoyed being out!
This photo is a bit blurry so I'll make it small. This is Amelie and I last week on a trip down the driveway & back.
