Amelie as Hello Kitty!

Hi Folks!

Amelie is now trying to run. We've been battling sockness the last 3 weeks and I think we're finally at the end of it. yay!

Amelie is trying to talk more. She can say Mama and Dada, Ta, Baba (for grandmother) which she says whenever the computer is on, hoping to chat with Baba and Jiji on skype. She also says baba for bubble. i know the difference because bubble has a sign to go with it. and then there is Baa instead of Boo. she says that whenever something appears. for peek-a-boo or when her hand pops out of her sleeve or when she finds something that was hiding. cute.

yeah. all is well.

ps. Alena if you are reading this, could you get in contact with me? You too Meghan. Please.

Catch up

Climbing into the picnic basket
on her favourite horse at the park
Amelie and her mama in their pyjamas

Hi! Sorry for the lack of contact. All is well, Amelie is walking, not yet talking but doing her best to communicate more and more everyday. Today she was trying to wink at her grandmother, but it was more like a snarling squint. She is doing more and more sign language to communicate with us. Her latest sign is 'baby' where she is meant to rock her imaginary baby but it looks more like she is crossing her arms, homey style.

She is full on and very energetic but a lot of fun to be with!!

Family pic.

This is my Japanese family.

Going back to Oz

Hi! We've had a great trip and Amelie has grown up a lot in the time we've been here. She can walk!!! Just a few steps but she's getting more and more confident. She isn't talking yet but making lots of 'da' 'ta' 'aya' noises and she gets her meaning across. She can also do the sign for milk with her hands and she can point to her nose, ears and head. Funny girl.

Jan 15

Thoughtful pause while she listens to the Gecko
Pulling faces at us through the window on Christmas Day
Getting excited at a photo of herself! This is her new way of showing she is excited/happy.

All is well here! Amelie is getting bigger and cheekier everyday! Right now she's looking at a book with her Dad. She was showing us this morning how she can put her (my) hat on when we say 'hat on!' and she takes it off when we say 'hat off'! So clever! (at least we think so.)
Yuki and I are making a photo album of her 1st year to take with us when we go and visit her Grandparents. She has grown so much!
She hasn't started walking on her own yet, but she gets around pretty quickly crawling and clinging onto whatever is closest. She is showing her teeth more. She doesnt just smile - she grins and pulls the funniest faces.
We're so interested to see what 2007 will bring us!

長い間にアメリの写真を入れなかった、すみません。今日アメリはすごい元気です。一人で遊びました。今寝ています。
Haven't written in a while, sorry all. Amelie is sleeping at the moment, so I can finally update! She just turned 11 months old!! YAY!
